It is a crying shame that there will be no marches, no Dawn Services, no badges for sale, just an emptiness of spirit. We can still do our own small bit to make it superb, though.
The media can broadcast highlights of earlier Anzac Days, people can still donate as much or as little as they are wont, and we can all spare a minute or two in quiet reflection/prayer.
Personally, I have finally got my flagpole over to our new house and it will be erected in time for a dawn raising of the Australian Flag. I have also added 2 more clips so our house will be displaying an ANZAC Flag as well.
All the medals will be out and polished and I am sure a glass may be raised to the fallen and to those who came home forever changed – heroes one and all, and we thank you!
