My husband is a Minister of Religion in the Presbyterian church qld and this would have been the 35th year that he has conducted the Anzac Day Memorial service at the 2nd/31st Memorial in South Bank Qld.
To our knowledge there are still 2 veterans in Qld so we made sure we remembered them in some way. We bought a wreath and took it over and solemnly laid it on Friday 24th. We displayed the banner and flag on the front of our house and we joined ‘the footpath/driveway service’.
It was most gratifying to still feel part of Anzac day and remember my late Dad who served in the 2nd31st Battalion.
